MEK initiates prospecting and surface geochemical sampling in the Dawson Range Gold District, YK
Metals Creek initiates program of prospecting and surface geochemical sampling in the Dawson Range Gold District, Yukon.
Toronto, July 07, 2011. Metals Creek Resources Corp. (the “Corporation”, TSXV: “MEK”) is pleased to announce that the Corporation has recently initiated an exploration program consisting of prospecting and soil sampling on its 196 claim units in four separate blocks in the White Gold district. Three of the claim blocks are located in the Matson Creek area and the fourth block is located west of the Yukon River, 40 km north of Kinross Gold’s White Gold property.
The claims were staked to cover a number of gold geochemical anomalies and possible source areas for nearby placer mining operations. The properties are interpreted to be underlain by favorable geology similar to that hosting the recently discovered gold deposits in the White Gold area.
Alexander (Sandy) Stares, President and CEO of Metals Creek commented “We are very excited to have initiated this exploration program and participating in Yukon’s new gold rush.”
Michael MacIsaac, P. Geo, VP Exploration for the Corporation and a qualified person as defined in National Instrument 43-101, is responsible for this release, and supervised the preparation of the information forming the basis for this release.
